Her primary area of focus is how complex system thinking can be used as a framework for finding creative and inclusive solutions to society’s most pressing problems. Sokona comes from a social Justice and grassroots background, prior to joining the lab she worked with numerous student groups and unions across Boston as a student labor organizer. She enjoys working for a liberated future for all through her work with labor rights, gender equity, and public education advocacy, and hope to work in the Human Rights field in the future.
