Sokona Diallo graduated as a Human Services and Communications student from Mali, West Africa in 2018. She is interested in exploring how philanthropy can be used to effect long-term social change and promote greater access for people who are currently excluded from economic, social, and political arenas. Her primary area of focus is how complex system thinking can be used as a framework for finding creative and inclusive solutions to society’s most pressing problems. Sokona comes from a social Justice and grassroots background, prior to joining the lab she worked with numerous student groups and unions across Boston as a student labor organizer. She enjoys working for a liberated future for all through her work with labor rights, gender equity, and public education advocacy, and hope to work in the Human Rights field in the future.
