Join Northeastern’s College of Arts, Media, and Design for a conversation that bridges data, government and theatre. What if the community meeting was a play? This panel examines how Civic Data Theatre bridges the gap between quantitative government data and lived community experience, using a Boston climate action case study to demonstrate a model for more inclusive democratic participation.
Michael Arnold Mages will moderate a discussion between Northeastern professors Rahul Bhargava, a professor of journalism, Jonathan Carr, a professor of theatre, Dani Snyder-Young, a professor of theatre and WGSS affiliated faculty member, and Moira Zellner, a professor of public policy and urban affairs and the director of Participatory Modeling and Data Science, as well as the co-director of NULab for Digital Humanities and Computational Social Science.
