WGSS students have the opportunity to put their classroom learning into real-world context by participating in experiential learning opportunities.

  1. 1.

Co-op with WGSS and Signs: Journal of Women in Culture & Society for the chance to experience feminist academia and publishing first-hand. Work directly with the program director and staff on events, programming, curriculum, and more while also simultaneously learning about the inner-workings of the premiere feminist academic journal. We have one co-op position available each semester.

  2. 2.

All students interested in women’s, gender, and sexuality studies may participate in Northeastern’s cooperative education program through their major’s co-op coordinator. We have curated a list of experiential learning and cooperative education experiences that relate to women’s, gender, and sexuality studies. Northeastern partners with the organizations listed at the link to place undergraduate students in co-op positions. The goals of these organizations coincide with the mission of our program. For more information and details specific to the co-ops, speak to your co-op coordinator.
