A prolific author, committed teacher, brilliant intellectual, and bold visionary, hooks left an indelible mark on generations of people including activists, artists, and scholars. This one-day symposium will consist of three panels offering formal and informal reflections about hooks profound and wide-ranging impact. This event is co-sponsored by Northeastern’s Africana Studies Program and the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program.
