“From Dissertation to Book”: Advice from Two Northeastern PhDs
An Alumni and Panel Discussion
Tuesday, February 27, 2024
4:00-6:00 pm ET
909 Renaissance Park

Join the Northeastern University English Department in welcoming back alumni Heather M. Falconer (University of Maine) and Jonathan D. Fitzgerald (Regis College) for a discussion on the process of turning your dissertation into a book. These two Northeastern PhDs recently published books from their dissertations and are returning to campus to discuss how the process worked for them. Dr. Falconer is the author of Masking Inequality with Good Intentions: Systemic Bias, Counterspaces, and Discourse Acquisition in STEM Education and Dr. Fitzgerald is author of How the News Feels: The Empathic Power of Literary Journalists. The event will be followed by pizza and a book signing with the authors.
