This election season, Northeastern Votes is eager to shed light on the history of female civic engagement and acknowledge the 100th year anniversary of women’s suffrage. It is important to acknowledge how woman have helped to progress American politics throughout the nation’s history, what they are still doing now, and the abundance of work that remains to gain equal rights for all individuals. Professor Suzanna Walters (Professor of Sociology; Professor and Director of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies) will join Professor Martha Davis (Affiliated Faculty of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies; University Distinguished Professor of Law) and IGNITE to speak about gender and voting on November 3 from 10:30am-12:00pm.
