Northeastern climate scientists keep an eye on the changes within environmental policy following the COP26 conference.

Dr. Jennie Stephens (Dean’s Professor of Sustainability and Science Policy; Director of the School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs; and WGSS Executive Committee Member) comments on the Emissions Gap Report that was released on October 26th, 2021. The report was released prior to the COP26, or The 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference took place from October 31st and recently ended last Friday, November 12th. According to Dr. Stephens, world leaders will begin to see a renewed focus on reducing carbon emissions.
