The Intersections of Disability Justice & Reproductive Justice
On Monday, November 18, Northeastern University Sexual Health Advocacy, Resources, and Education (NU SHARE) is hosting an event featuring Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha (they/she), an advocate, writer and educator for Disability Justice. The event will be hybrid, and Piepzna-Samarasinha will be joining virtually to discuss the intersections of Disability and Reproductive Justice and read some of their work. There will be a Q&A opportunity at the end.
Tickets are free but required for in person attendance, and you can get them here. You can join virtually by registering here. NU students, faculty and staff can bring a +1 to the event in person, and anyone outside of NU can join virtually by registering.
There will be two ASL-English interpreters in-person, two on Zoom, and one CART provider available to both in-person and virtual attendees.
Face masks are required for in-person attendees and testing for COVID-19 beforehand is highly encouraged. This event is also a fragrance free event, so please refrain from wearing perfume, cologne or other fragranced products.
