6:30-8:00pm
Curry #333
The Sexual Assault Response Coalition and SGA at Northeastern will be collaborating this year to host an educational event on the Title IX process and what student support resources look like at Northeastern. Our presenters include representatives from the Title IX Office, or Office of University Equity and Compliance at Northeastern University, and from the Office of Prevention and Education at Northeastern (OPEN). We will be discussing what Title IX is and looks like at our university, what sexual violence prevention and survivor support resources are available for students, and what options for justice or resolution survivors have after experiencing sexual violence. Presentations will be followed by a hybrid Q&A session, in which attendees will have the option to either ask questions directly to the presenters or submit questions to be asked by a moderator. Food and refreshments will be provided, as well as take home resource pamphlets and other goods. This is a great way for students to not only familiarize themselves with the policies and resources regarding sexual violence prevention and education at Northeastern, but to also get to know the administration, clubs, and community of support here on campus.
The event will be held on September 7th from 6:30-8pm in Curry #333. For those who are unable to join in person, the Zoom link is https://northeastern.zoom.us/j/99804284869.
