Lilian Thuram had a prestigious international career in football for the French national team–World Cup champion in 1998. In 2008, he created the Lilian Thuram Foundation for Education to educate against racism and has since become a high-profile activist providing workshops, lectures, and exhibitions.

Moderated by: Régine Jean-Charles, Director of Africana Studies, Dean’s Professor of Culture and Social Justice, Professor of Africana Studies and Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies Co-sponsored by the CSSH Dean’s Office, the History Department, the Department of Cultures, Societies and Global Studies, and the Africana Studies program.
