Description:
Justin’s Visual Vernacular workshop will provide participants with the opportunity to learn more about visual vernacular history, the benefits of using VV, and be involved in various activities. This workshop will help participants convey information more visually through the use of the ASL linguistic/storytelling technique, visual vernacular. Participants will learn the skills needed to more easily present information visually through the use of facial expressions, gestures, mime skills, and body language. You will be able to identify how and when to incorporate VV into your daily work whether that is in the interpreting field or in a signing environment.
*Room location and more details will be provided upon registration.
** Please send any and all requests for reasonable accommodations to Cayle O’Brien, c.obrien@northeastern.edu, by March 21, 2022.
