Mission
The mission of the Center for Interpretation and Translation Education (CITE) is to promote the field of interpretation and translation by prioritizing deaf experiences, perspectives, and leadership. CITE advocates for accessibility as a fundamental right, advancing a world where Deaf Community insights shape systems and practices. Through integrating innovative training programs, cutting-edge research, and strong community partnerships, CITE is structured around three core pillars:

Interpreting Education
Currently offering free professional development resources for interpreters, educators, and students. Future expansion to include certificate programs and mentorship opportunities.

Research & Innovation
Conducting applied research on interpreting and translation, language access, and the integration of emerging technologies, while involving students and professionals in experiential research initiatives.

Preservation/Documentation
Digitizing and archiving of historical materials and resources related to interpreting education and Deaf cultural artifacts.
