Along with co-editors Jessica Nastal (Prairie State) and Christie Toth (University of Utah), Mya Poe published Writing Placement in Two-Year Colleges: The Pursuit of Equity in Postsecondary Education (WAC Clearinghouse/University Press of Colorado). This open-access collection brings together two-year college teacher-scholar-activists from across the U.S. to share data-driven stories and strategies about local efforts to reform writing placement during a time when the U.S. has been rocked by the COVID-19 pandemic. Contributors demonstrate how two-year colleges have addressed local and state-level pressures for reform while also challenging longstanding inequities in testing.
