Recent Doctoral Graduate Olivier Schouteden Accepts Assistant Professorship at the American University in Cairo

The Department of History at Northeastern is proud to announce that Olivier Schouteden, a recent doctoral program graduate, has accepted a position as an Assistant Professor at the American University in Cairo. Olivier successfully defended his dissertation entitled “Impossible Indochina: Obstacles, Issues, and Failures of French Colonial Exploration in Southeast Asia, 1862 – 1914” in November 2018 under the direction of Professor Laura Frader and Professor Heather Streets-Salter.
