Victoria Cain’s new book, Life on Display: Revolutionizing U.S. Museums of Science and Nature has been published. Life on Display was published by the University of Chicago Press and, in Victoria’s words, “uses the history of biological exhibitions to analyze museums’ shifting roles in twentieth-century American science and society. My co-author, Karen A. Rader, and I chronicle how these exhibitions—and the institutions that housed them—changed between 1910 and 1990, altering practices in science, science education, and museums as a result.”
