Best Paper Prize
The Center is accepting nominations for the best undergraduate essay in world history and global affairs, 2024-25. This is the second year for what will become the Center’s annually awarded essay prize. We are looking for papers that are well-written and researched, grapple with global issues or questions, and represent a sophisticated grasp of the material. We are looking especially for work that bridges theory and practice in the humanities and social sciences to deepen policy-oriented expertise and encourage global public engagement.
The winner will receive $500 and will be featured on the Center’s website. Please consider nominating an undergraduate who – over the course of the 2024-25 academic year – wrote an exceptional essay. The deadline for nominations is TBD. Please send nominations directly to Diana Atoui at d.atoui@northeastern.edu. Along with your nomination letter, the student (or professor) will need to submit their original paper.
