Anika Poythress grew up in Seattle, Washington and is a second year at Northeastern currently double majoring in International Affairs and Sociology. Anika interned for the United Nations Association of Greater Boston in her first year following her return from a semester spent abroad in Berlin, Germany. She is especially passionate about environmental activism, women’s rights, and bringing the attention of young people to global affairs and politics. After graduating, she hopes to join the Peace Corps and one day work for the United Nations, and until then is excited to continue learning about and delving into various global events, issues, and peace strategies.
