The Department of Sociology and Anthropology and the Department of Philosophy and Religion offer an interdisciplinary combined major in sociology and philosophy. Students in the combined major integrate the study of culture and social structures with the study of social and political philosophy, ethics, and the philosophy of science. The combined major enables students to understand and appreciate cultural differences in human interaction, ways of knowing, and systems of logic and human classification.
