A Look into Brittney Griner’s Sentencing (News@Northeastern)

In a recent News@Northeastern article, Alexandra Meise—an associate teaching professor in the School of Law—unpacks Brittney Griner’s detainment and the tension between the United States and Russia. Griner was sentenced to nine years in prison for possessing vape cartridges with hashish oil, something she was prescribed by her doctor.
