Ethel Mickey Offers Measures to Help Support Faculty During COVID-19 Transitions

Ethel Mickey, a recent Northeastern Sociology major and WGSS certificate graduate and former Signs graduate assistant, co-wrote an article for Inside Higher Ed highlighting different ways that campuses can offer equitable support for faculty amid major shifts within higher education, with special care to how these changes impact faculty members of color. As members of the University of Massachusetts ADVANCE Team, the co-writers offer potential systemic solutions to increase inclusivity and advancement for women and underrepresented racial minorities in the workplace.
