Co-op is an opportunity for students in the Department of Economics to complete full time, six-month research and work experiences in nonprofit, public, and private sector institutions in Greater Boston and around the world.

Economics students work in a wide variety of industries and positions. On co-op, you will build technical, problem solving and communication experience, increase efficiency in business processes, and develop transferable skills related to your professional, academic and personal goals. Students integrate classroom and workplace learning by participating in guided and group reflections that occur at several intervals both during and after your co-op work experience.

For subsequent co-op rotations you may pursue jobs in the same field or industry, or you may choose to explore an entirely different sector, location, or type of position.
