We are pleased to congratulate Professor Madhavi Venkatesan and three Northeastern University alumni, Andrew Burwick, Thomas DiGeso, and Justin MacLennan (all Class of 2024), on the publication of their co‑authored chapter, “Is Spirituality the Missing Component of Sustainable Development,” in the Springer Handbook of Traditional Spirituality and Sustainability (Eds. J. M. Luetz, W. L. Filho & D. Nunn, 2026).
The chapter originated from the students’ work in Professor Venkatesan’s Senior Thesis course. The collaboration continued after graduation, resulting in a co-authored publication that reflects the value of sustained faculty-student engagement in undergraduate research.
