Blazing New Trails for Youth Activists

The Policy School is co-sponsoring the Academic Council on the United Nations System (ACUNS) Annual Meeting, which will take place in June Nairobi, Kenya and virtually. The event is co-chaired by Policy School Director Maria Ivanova and Prof. Alice Odingo. PhD student Olga Skaredina is co-organizing the virtual program and is leading the inaugural Youth Track, a new initiative that creates space for early-career scholars and youth activists across disciplines to share critical reflections, field experiences, and original research under the theme “Multilateralism for Environmental and Social Justice.”

Olga has also been selected to serve on the Outreach Committee of the Environmental Studies Section of the International Studies Association (ISA). In this role, she will help expand the section’s visibility and engagement, with a particular focus on connecting early-career scholars to global environmental policy research communities.
