Recently, director Jennie Stephens, along with former student Hannah Lyons and Global Resilience Institute colleague Liz Allen published an article discussing the role of women in the energy sector and how important their role is in the fight for energy justice. By examining the crucial role of women in leadership at two women-led climate-change-fighting institutions, Mothers Out Front and Grid Alternatives, the authors make a case for fighting climate change that is inclusive of all and redistributes power to communities.
