Prof. Shalanda Baker appointed to Department of Energy
Prof. Shalanda Baker has been appointed Deputy Director for Energy Justice in the Department of Energy Office of Economic Impact and Diversity in the Biden administration. In this historic role, the first of its kind, Prof. Baker is designing, building, and driving President Biden’s initiative to ensure 40% of all climate investments go to frontline, environmental justice communities. She assumed her role on January 20th after a swearing-in ceremony. Read more here

Former professor Stephanie Pollack joins Federal Highway Administration
Former professor and associate director of the Dukakis Center Stephanie Pollack was recently appointed as the Deputy Administrator of the Federal Highway Administration under President Biden. She most recently served as the Massachusetts Department of Transportation Secretary and CEO.
