The Policy School helped sponsor the 2024 GRIST 50 Event at Climate Week in New York City on Septermber 24 and Policy School Director Maria Ivanova attended the event. As a nonprofit, independent media organization, Grist is dedicated to telling stories of climate solutions and a just future.  Every year, Grist publishes a special project called the Grist 50, which spotlights emerging leaders (called “Fixers”) across the U.S. who are working on fresh, real-world solutions to our planet’s biggest challenges.  The list includes scientists, artists, policymakers, farmers, social justice advocates,s torytellers, entrepreneurs, technologists, chefs, clean energy wonks — all kinds of people pointing the way toward a just, sustainable future.

The Sep 24, 20024 event, presented in partnership with the Clinton Global Initiative at the Hilton Midtown in NYC, featured 200+ climate leaders and spotlighted the 2024 Grist 50 awardees. The event will be presented in partnership with the Clinton Global Initiative at the Hilton Midtown in NYC. Fixers from the 2024 list, as well as Fixers from our previous eight years of Grist 50 attended the event, which provided an upbeat, optimistic outlook on the planet’s future and the people shaping it.
