Master of Public Administration Program Internship/Co-op Waiver Form
All students in the MPA Program are required to complete an internship. Students may petition for a waiver of this requirement by completing and submitting this form at least one semester prior to graduation. You must attach to the form a copy of your current resume. Your resume should include detailed descriptions of current and past relevant employment.
If your petition is approved by the Director of the MPA program, you will be considered an “in service student.” NASPAA accreditation defines an “in-service student” as one who has at least one year of full-time post-baccalaureate relevant work experience in the public affairs field. Please note that that an approved internship waiver does not eliminate or reduce any academic credit requirements.
