Master of Public Policy Program Internship Waiver Form

All students in the MPP program are required to complete an internship. Students may petition for a waiver to this requirement and thus be considered an “in-service student.” You must fill out and submit this form and include a current resume. Your resume should include detailed descriptions of current and past relevant employment in the public policy/urban affairs fields to demonstrate experience in your area of interest. While each petition is evaluated individually, an “in-service student” is one who has at least one year of full-time post-baccalaureate relevant work experience in the public policy/urban affairs fields. Please be advised that an approved internship waiver does not waive or reduce any academic credit requirements. The form and resume should be submitted at least one semester prior to graduation.
