In 2025, Professor Passas’s research and public engagement reached new levels of international visibility.

In December, he received the International Anti-Corruption Excellence (ACE) Award for academic research and education. The award recognized his long-standing contributions to anti corruption scholarship and his influence on global accountability frameworks, including work connected to the United Nations Convention against corruption.

That same year, Professor Passas was also nominated for University’s Global Educator Award, a student driven recognition reflecting his impact in the classroom and his commitment to global learning, including a Dialogue of Civilizations he led in Paris. These honors arrived during a period of sustained productivity rather than a career pause.
“Recognition is meaningful, ” Passas has noted in public remarks, “when it reinforces the responsibility to keep asking hard questions and engaging beyond academia.”
