Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) inSociology & Cultural Anthropology
The sociology/anthropology department at Northeastern University offers a combined major in sociology and anthropology. Students learn the disciplinary histories, practices, and methods of sociology and sociocultural anthropology, identify foundational and contemporary debates within and across these two disciplines, and evaluate their contributions to our understanding of local and global societies and cultures.
The combined major offers students various opportunities for community engagement, experiential learning, and for gaining research skills using quantitative and qualitative methods.
