Africana Studies Professor, Nicole Aljoe has just been appointed as Visiting Professor at the University of Bristol

Professor Nicole Aljoe (Professor of English and Africana Studies & WGSS Affiliated Faculty and Executive Committee Member) will serve as Visiting Professor at the University of Bristol in the UK for the Fall 2021 Semester. Professor Aljoe’s research interests focuses on 18th and early 19th Century Black Atlantic and Caribbean literature with a specialization on the slave narrative and early novels. At the University of Bristol, she will be completing research on 18th- and early 19th-century literary representations of Black people in England. Her work is hosted and supported by the Centre for Black Humanities at the university.
