Dr. Modestino weighs in Politico on how Omicron threatens women’s labor recovery

Professor Alicia Sasser Modestino (Associate Professor of Public Policy and Urban Affairs and Economics; Director of Research, Dukakis Center;  WGSS Executive Committee Member) shares her expertise on the fear that the rising Covid cases may lead to schools and businesses shutting down again, causing a setback in the progress women have made in the workforce since the first wave of the pandemic. 

“We see a ‘two steps forward, one step back’ kind of trend with every wave of Covid that comes” says Dr. Modestino.
