Join the Center for Law, Equity and Race (CLEAR) for a discussion of the legacy of Henrietta Lacks. Although Mrs Lacks passed away in 1951, she continues to impact the world. Through her research, writing, and litigation, Deleso Alford has sought justice for Lacks’ descendants. Patricia Williams’ work engages with how law contributes to the violation of patients’ rights; and why Black women are particularly vulnerable.
