Margo Lindauer speaks on the power dynamics prevalent in the Cuomo sexual harassment case

Margo Lindauer (WGSS Executive Committee member, Associate Clinical Professor, and Director of the Domestic Violence Institute) speculates that Cuomo’s actions towards the 11 current and former New York state employees continued as a result of his position and power as New York governor.

Lindauer states “People who perpetrate violence or harassment usually don’t do it in a silo. It’s usually within the context of a pattern or practice, and it’s very clear that he [Cuomo] had a pattern and practice. When you think about intimate violence or harassment, it’s all about power and control.”
