[NOVEMBER 16, 2023] Research with Students: Social Justice and DEIB (Pedagogy in Progress Speaker Series)

The College of Social Sciences and Humanities Pedagogy in Progress series convenes faculty across the college several times each semester for informal, energizing conversations about teaching challenges and practices. Topics have ranged from Difficult Classroom Discussions to Mental Health in the Classroom to conversations with CSSH Outstanding Teaching Award winners. All are welcome. Lunch will be provided at Renaissance Park, Conference Room 909 for in-person attendees.

This first talk will be about research with students, focusing on social justice and diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Featuring Professor K.J. Rawson (English, WGSS), WGSS e-committee member Professor Nicole Aljoe (English, Africana Studies), and Professor Madhavi Venkatesan (Economics).
