The International Affairs major is an academically rigorous program that thoroughly prepares students for careers in all aspects of the international field. The mission of the program is to provide students with an understanding of topics that are both historical and current in order to gain perspective on the forces that shape the world around us. The International Affairs Program offers a Bachelors of Arts in international affairs with regional analysis in: Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, or the Middle East. International Affairs Majors and Combined Majors
The International Affairs interdisciplinary curriculum exposes students to courses in various disciplines while also giving students flexibility to select the courses that interest them most. This multidisciplinary set includes coursework from international affairs, political science, anthropology, economics, and history.

Minors in International Affairs or Middle East and Mediterranean Studies
The International Affairs Minor is an interdisciplinary program that exposes students to a variety of different perspectives on the field, while providing the flexibility to select the courses in the disciplines that interest them most. The minor provides an international lens to students’ primary degree, preparing them for our globalized world and workplaces. The Middle East and Mediterranean Studies Minor provides an in-depth study of the Middle East and North Africa (Arab world, Israel, Iran, and Turkey); its place within the broader Mediterranean region; and its relations with other world regions.

Master of Arts in International Affairs – School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs
The Master of Arts in International Affairs is offered through the School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs (SPPUA). It is a challenging and interdisciplinary program dedicated to preparing tomorrow’s global citizens and leaders by combining theories, concepts, and methodologies from a range of disciplines with study abroad and experiential learning opportunities in Boston, across the country, and around the world.
