The DITI aims to support artificial intelligence (AI) literacy while taking a critical approach to the use of AI, its limitations, and associated harms. This page includes links to our statement on AI, teaching materials for specific AI applications, and a faculty guide to Northeastern University resources on AI. As we continue developing resources, we will publish them on this page.
DITI Statement on AI
As increasingly present digital tools, AI and generative AI have a role to play in the Digital Integration Teaching Initiative’s mission to introduce students to digital methods and skills in humanities and social science classrooms. Our statement on AI outlines our approach to supporting critical AI literacy and ethics. Read the DITI statement on AI.
Teaching Materials for AI Applications
Among the resources that the DITI publishes for teaching and learning with digital and computational methods, the DITI has developed materials that can support AI literacy. These include slides and handouts that instructors can share with students. Explore teaching materials on AI.
Bibliography on AI in Education
To help inform our work on AI, we have collected and categorized sources on AI and education. This collection is publicly available as a Zotero library. View the bibliography on AI in education.
Faculty Guide to Northeastern Resources on AI
The work of the Digital Integration Teaching Initiative is complementary to other initiatives to foster AI literacy across Northeastern University. To assist faculty in navigating the range of AI educational resources available, we have compiled an introductory guide to university resources. Read the faculty guide.
We are continuing to develop additional materials, so please refresh this page to check whether new resources have been uploaded. Please feel free to contact us at [email protected] if you would like to provide feedback on our approach to AI or suggest additional teaching materials we should develop.
