Amid widespread changes in recent years to how City Hall oversees development, Ted Landsmark has remained a constant.
A professor, advocate for civil rights, the environment, and the arts, and public policy expert with a law degree from Yale, and a doctorate in philosophy from Boston University, Landsmark has played a key role in shaping the city’s built environment as a member of the Boston Planning and Development Agency board since 2014.
Now he’s stepping down; Thursday will be his final board meeting.
“Every one of the communities we work with has changed, often in very significant ways, over the past decade,” Landsmark said. “I have had the opportunity to have impact across the city, and I’m at a point where I think it’s time for others to step up and express their viewpoints.”
