Huntington 100 Winners
Congratulations to BA Political Science and Human Services student Natalie DeLaCruz ’25 and BA Human Services and International Affairs student Sara Nyarangi ’25 and former Policy School co-op and BA Journalism and Media and Screen Studies student Kylee Hendrie ‘25, who are 2024 recipients of Northeastern University’s prestigious Huntington 100 award. The award honors outstanding undergraduate students for achievements commensurate with the university’s mission, ideals, and values.
Kylee Hendrie, who served as the Policy School’s first communications co-op in 2023, earned recognition for her exemplary achievements and contributions in research, community service, and global leadership. She played a pivotal role in developing the vision for the School’s inaugural Impact Report. She also directed the documentary Small States Beyond Plastics, a project that powerfully highlights the ambitions and resilience of small states in global environmental governance.
Natalie DeLaCruz (she/they) earned the Huntington 100 for her commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). Serving as the ‘23-’24 Student Government VP for DEI, she was able to spearhead initiatives including winter clothing drives for first-generation low-income students and town halls with culture clubs. Now serving as the Director of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for the Boston Intercollegiate Government, they are bringing their passion for equitable community engagement to represent 15 Boston area colleges and more than 150,000 students.
Northeastern University awards two distinctive honors: the Huntington 100 for undergraduates and Lux. Veritas. Virtus. for graduate students. It is a tremendous honor to have talented Policy School students recognized at both levels. PhD in Public Policy student and MPA ’24 alumna Clara Copp-LaRocque received the Lux. Veritas. Virtus. award last year for her outstanding achievements.
