Director (CivicSol)

Policy School Professor of Practice Steven Pedigo, co-founder of CivicSol, runs the national strategy and advisory firm with Laura Huffman. CivicSol works with cities and regions across the country on economic development, workforce, and community strategy, helping local leaders make consequential choices about their futures.

CivicSol now works in 15 states, partnering with communities from Los Angeles and Provo to Fort Worth and Burlington. It is a small, fast-growing, entrepreneurial firm, and its founders are excited about what they are building.

As part of that growth, CivicSol is looking to add several Directors to its team. Prof. Pedigo believes these could be terrific opportunities for Northeastern alumni, particularly graduates of the Policy School’s policy and planning programs who have built some professional experience and are ready for the next step in their careers.

CivicSol’s Directors work directly with the two co-founders, lead client engagements with communities across the country, and play a meaningful role in shaping the firm’s future. The firm is looking for curious, entrepreneurial people who care deeply about public work and want to make an impact.

Ideally, candidates will have 5 to 7 years of experience in local government, economic development, or public-sector consulting, including experience managing projects or client engagements. The positions are full-time and fully remote.
