Senior Spotlight: Sandy Alcantara

Sandy Alcantara, Class of 2025, graduated with a double major in Business Administration (with a concentration in Management) and Criminal Justice. A proud first-generation Latina from Arizona, Sandy charted a remarkable path — from her home state to Boston and eventually New York City, where she completed her co-op at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York (USAO SDNY). She will be returning there this summer as a full-time paralegal before continuing on to law school.

Throughout her time at Northeastern, Sandy immersed herself in campus life — serving as Vice President and President of her residence hall council, and playing Intramural Soccer all four years. She is deeply grateful for the opportunities and mentorship she received, particularly from Professors Michelle Zaff, Amy Farrell, Megan Denver, and Ekaterina Botchkovar.

Sandy is a recipient of the Joseph Tucci scholarship as well as several honors from CSSH and SCCJ. She graduates with academic honors and Dean’s List distinction.
