Mission Statement

The Center for International Affairs and World Cultures (CIAWC) seeks to enrich and support scholarship and timely analysis on how fostering international cooperation, empathy, and mutual understanding have contributed to and can contribute to solving major global challenges. We accomplish this goal through the following activities: hosting timely conversations for faculty and students across the global network, serving as a resource and idea incubator for scholars across the university, and providing policy analysis accessible to the broader community. CIAWC bridges theory and practice in the humanities and social sciences to deepen policy-oriented expertise and encourage global public engagement.
