Looking for new words to avoid repeating other words? Vocabulary take a lot of time to acquire and use automatically. Even published writers rely on a variety of tools to jog their creativity and accuracy. Here are some of our tutors’ favorites!

Re-vision is about needing to re-see your text, even if you’ve already spent hours conceptualizing and drafting it. Experienced self-editors know that they need to create some distance from their papers and complete proof-read in multiple stages, each time paying attention to just a handful of specific issues.

Your resumes, cover letters, and CV’s will change over time while you are at Northeastern. Whether you are preparing for your first co-op or a job after graduation, you can visit the Writing Center for help with your writing. Beyond the Writing Center, you can also contact Career Development and your co-op coordinator for help with job applications.
