2024-2025 Fellows: Alanna Elizabeth Moli and Eva Langer

Alanna Elizabeth Moli is interested in nuclear disarmament and the ethical opposition to nuclear weaponry, particularly in Africa and South America. As well, she is interested in efforts to promote gender equality and abolish harmful traditional practices like child marriage and female genital mutilation (FGM). Alanna Elizabeth recently attended the dialogue to the United Nations at Geneva where she researched and evaluated disarmament efforts in Central Africa to develop policy recommendations. She has aspirations to continue her education at the J.D. level and obtain her law degree and master’s in international affairs, to work as an attorney and foreign service officer one day.

Eva is passionate about security issues, with a strong focus on counterterrorism, conflict studies, and post-conflict development. Currently, she’s pursuing a Master of Science in Security and Resilience Studies through the Plus One Program and is committed to enhancing resilience strategies in both government and private sectors. Her experience includes working as a Research Assistant analyzing the global refugee crisis and participating in a Dialogue of Civilizations in the Balkans, where she studied post-war reconciliation, disaster recovery, and anti-corruption efforts.
2023-2024 Fellows: Jenia Browne and Mary Alexander Raines

As an honors undergraduate student at Northeastern University, Jenia is majoring in International Affairs, with minors in Environmental Studies and Black Feminist Studies. Their research interests span a wide range of critical areas, including Black feminist studies, Black queer studies, small island states, sustainable urban spaces, and equitable transit systems.

Mary is majoring in International Affairs with minors in Mandarin Chinese and French. She is interested in East Asia regionally, specifically human rights violations in Xinjiang and Tibet, as well as pre- and post-WW2 East Asian relations like with the Rape of Nanjing. In addition, she is interested in post-conflict development, human rights, innovation in international security, resilience, and post-colonial lenses in history, especially Irish history.
